Jaimie you named your jewelry line after yourself. Can you tell us more about your background and how you decided to go with your name?

Yes, I named my jewelry line after my first and middle name. I love the unique spelling of my first name and felt the two names Jaimie and Nicole together were strong names to help me build a powerful jewelry brand.

Have you always lived in Miami and designed in Miami? Do you think that is a large influence on your work?

I was born and raised in Miami. I absolutely think my hometown has a huge influence on my designs. Miami is full of color and life and I take all the vibrancy of my home and put it into my pieces.

When you design pieces are you designing for yourself or for a target customer and who is that customer?

My target customer is a confident, classy and on trend woman. She enjoys the art of fashion and embraces everyday luxury. I design for both my customers and myself.

What hot new jewelry trends do you see coming in the near future?

It is easy to get caught up in trends in fashion, but one trend I can’t seem to get out of my head is FRINGE—stay tuned!

What jewelry designers do you love or think have inspired your work?

I admire all designers for having their own eye and creativity. If I had to narrow it down, I would say Marco Bicego embraces elegance and sophistication in his creations and I have always admired his work.

Lastly if you had to wear one piece of jewelry for the rest of your life which piece would it be and why?

Tough question… If I had to pick one piece of jewelry to wear for the rest of my life I would pick one of my signature tassel necklaces. It is the perfect piece of jewelry to wear during the day and dress up and night. The tassel is trendy, but classic. It will always be in style and is the perfect accessory for all outfits.
